Nashville Recap!

Hey ya’ll!  As you may know, I just came home from a 3-day weekend trip to Nashville, TN! I planned this trip with a group of friends to surprise Tyler for his birthday! We had a blast & packed so many awesome places into the 3 days we were in town! This was my first time in Nashville & there were lots of things I wanted to do! I have rounded up all of the restaurants, shops & best spots on Broadway that I know you’ll want to add to your bucket list!

Day 1:

Our first stop for breakfast was Biscuit Love! You can basically order any typical breakfast meal served over a hot warm biscuit! Typically during peak hours the line stretches out the door with a 45 minute or more wait! We arrived around 8:30 am on Friday and did not have to wait at all! This restaurant is super modern & industrial inside and features the huge light-up “Nashville” sign that can be found all over Pinterest!   What I ordered: Lily Biscuit French Toast (with no blueberry or lemon) & Sweet Tea!

Later that day we visited the Historic Nashville Farmers Market & I had an authentic southern coffee experience that was amazing at Farm City Coffee Brewers! I asked the barista for a sweet iced coffee & he recommended the Blonde Bourbon roast! With a little cream & sugar it was the perfect afternoon pick me up with a southern twist!

After the Farmers Market we napped back at the hotel (the 6 am flight definitely got the best of us) & then we headed out for cocktails at The Greenhouse Bar! This bar is 100% inside a greenhouse with trees & plants growing all around the tables & lounge chairs! It was such a fun authentic experience & the drinks were awesome! The bartenders mixed me my own sweet wine spritzer that was not on the menu & it was amazing!

After drinks, we headed downtown to Broadway to grab dinner at the new bar Tyler had been dying to go to; Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row!  We had dinner on the rooftop deck and I have to say… the food is well worth mentioning! BBQ is apparently a huge thing in Nashville, so when I ordered the Pulled Barbecue Chicken Sandwich it did not disappoint! The sweet potato fries were also delicious, I would totally go there again just for the food!img_2022.jpgDay 2:

First thing in the morning we headed to breakfast at Five Daughters Bakery  in South Nashville! This little shop is known for their donuts & pastries with the most adorable, instagrammable aesthetic! This is also a location to hit as early as possible, as they do typically have a very long line and sell out! What I Ordered: Cinnamon Iced Donut

After breakfast, we walked a few blocks down the street & I finally got to shop at Reese Witherspoon’s store Draper James! This boutique was SO charming & sweet I absolutely loved it! We were greeted at the door with mini cups of sweet tea & all the southern charm we could have asked for! This flagship store is a must-see when you visit!

We then hopped into an Uber and spent the rest of the day at Belle Meade Plantation   where we did a self-guided tour of the beautiful grounds & enjoyed a rather generous wine tasting! We all grabbed a bottle of Muscadine Wine & spent the whole afternoon sipping and sampling cheese on the patio, while the boys played Bocce Ball. It was such a relaxing afternoon & I highly recommend taking the time to detox from downtown & enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience!

Later that night we went out Downtown to Broadway to enjoy the nightlife Nashville is so well known for. I have to be honest with ya’ll when I say, I’m an in bed by 10 pm kinda girl, so late night partying is definitely NOT my thing! I will say that a lot of the country singers bars are pretty cool to visit! There so many I could talk about, but for now I will just share my favorite one! Luke’s 32 Bridge is Luke Bryan’s new bar that just opened a few weeks before my trip! It was so different, modern rustic, and well lit inside that I just loved the whole vibe! It was my top pick for sure, so make sure you pop into Luke’s bar next time you’re in town!

Day 3:

On our last day in Nashville, Tyler and I spent most of the day in South Nashville, which was definitely my favorite part of town! We went to breakfast at this super retro vintage restaurant called The Flipside! They even had huge garage doors on the walls that were open to outside! What I ordered: Chicken & Waffles

Last but not least, Tyler and I popped into White’s Mercantile which is an uppity more expensive general store kind of shop, that also sold a lot of cute (and expensive!) gifts and clothing! While we were there, we just so happened to bump into Thomas Rhett shopping with his wife! He was super kind & took a photo with us! It was the coolest experience to just run into a celebrity!

We flew home super late Sunday evening & were totally exhausted from the packed weekend we had! We will definitely be visiting Nashville again!

Have you ever been to Nashville!? What are some of your favorite spots I need to check out next time?!
