When you start planning a Walt Disney World vacation, one of the first things to consider is where you’re going to stay! While it may take you some date & resort shopping to find the right price for your budget, booking a resort on Disney property is the way to go! Will it be a little more expensive than a mainstream hotel in Orlando? Probably so, but it’s totally worth it & here’s why!
24/7 Magic!
From the moment you check in, you’re immersed in Disney magic for the entirety of your stay! When you leave the park at night, you return to your Disney resort & the party keeps on going! For starters, your resort room will be decked out in Disney themed décor specific to the resort you choose to stay in! Disney resorts have multiple pools, open well into the evening to maximize the fun you can have after hours; additionally bars and quick-service food areas are also open super late to satisfy your after-park snack needs! Recreations areas at your resort will host games, trivia and Disney movie nights outside on an inflatable movie screen! You can also shop in the lobby store, which carries necessities you may have forgotten to pack from home, as well as Disney merchandise! The magic literally never stops!
Let’s talk Transportation!
It’s ALL included & Complimentary! That’s right, from the parks, to the airport, to Disney Springs you’re totally covered! When you book your Disney resort, you will have the option to add transportation on Disney’s Magical Express! This motor coach will pick you up at the airport & take you right the front door of your resort! (It also takes you back to the airport at the end of your trip, but that’s depressing so we won’t chat much on that!) Buses will also run all day every day, back and forth from your resort to every single Disney park, water park, & Disney Springs! This is truly a HUGE economical & convenient benefit to staying on Disney Property as you will never have to rent a car, pay for gas or pay to park every day at the theme parks! You’ll also never have to wait in the mile- long line at the toll booth to enter each parks parking lot! Your Disney Transport bus skips the lines & drops you off right at the main gates!
Skip the lines with FastPass+
Disney offers guests with a theme park ticket the option to schedule their FastPass+ attractions up to 30 days ahead of time! But did you know that guests who book a Walt Disney World Resort can book up to 60 days in advance?! That’s right, you can grab those hard to get Fast Passes before they run out! Seven Dwarfs Mine Train? Soarin’? Test Track? Frozen Ever After? Tower of Terror? Flight of Passage? FastPass+ it and skip the 90-120 minute or more wait times!
It’s All Part of the Experience!
Personally, I will never go on a Walt Disney World vacation and not stay at Disney resort! So far, I have stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Beach, All Star Music, Movies, Sports, & Art of Animation! The All-Star & POP Century resorts are considered “Value Resorts” and can typically be found at a pretty reasonable rate! Art Of Animation is a “Moderate Resort” and while it is one of my favorite places to stay, it doesn’t really differ to me from the value resorts! Other resorts, including Caribbean Beach, are going to start getting more expensive but are definitely awesome spots to check out if you can! So if it comes down to price for you, go with the value! No matter where you stay on Disney property, one thing is universal & super convenient; your Magic Band is your room key! It doesn’t get much easier!
