Hi, I’m Kara—a storyteller, creator, and traveler with a deep love for beautifully crafted experiences. I earned my B.S. in Design and Production from Towson University, and today I serve as the Executive Media Director for Academy Travel, where I lead the marketing of Disney and Universal destinations, along with some of the world’s finest cruise lines.

Though I call Baltimore, Maryland home—where I live with my husband, Tyler, and our golden doodle, Oakley—I’ve always been a New Yorker at heart. I find myself drawn to the city’s energy, elegance, and timeless charm, and I visit as often as I can. My love for classic black-and-white films and old-world European style inspires much of my creative vision, and one day, I hope to own a little place in Europe where that inspiration can fully come to life.

My journey began in 2012 with the Disney College Program, where I worked as an entertainment intern at Animal Kingdom, EPCOT, and Hollywood Studios. That experience sparked my passion for immersive storytelling—and it continues to influence my work today as a professional brand photographer, capturing elevated, curated visuals for entrepreneurs and creatives. I started my blog back in 2018, and my goodness, has it evolved over the years! After 5 years of hard work & investing in myself, it landed me exactly where I was supposed to be. KCOT now serves as my own creative outlet for my brand & travel galleries! I hope you enjoy perusing my work & that it inspires you to book a trip somewhere you’ve always wanted to go.
