My Disney DIY Jean Jacket came out SO cute! I picked patches from my favorite attractions, park logos, and characters! It was also a great way to shop small! I made sure to purchase all iron-on patches, however, it’s important to note that I did use some tacking glue on the edges of a few that were thicker. I also ended up tacking a few with thread just to ensure that they stayed on, and wouldn’t pop loose in the washer. You can also purchase this Tide Antibacterial Fabric Spray to use for freshening up; it’s a great way to get a few wears out of it before washing.

Applying the patches is very simple! All you have to do is get a think cloth/towel, an iron and follow these steps:
1. Using the iron, warm up the jacket in the spot you plan to place the patch, 2. Once preheated, lay the patch down, place the thin cloth over the top of the patch, and apply pressure with the iron for one minute. 3. Flip your jacket inside out, place the cloth over the back of the patch, and apply heat with the iron again for another minute. Repeat these steps again if the patch is still not fully secure. Let your jacket cool and assess if any patches need tacking glue. I placed a heavy object (like a book, or candle) on top of the patch with glue, and let sit for the time indicated on the glue bottle. Once everything is secure, you’re ready to wear it!
