This past weekend, we dined at Le Café Louis Vuitton in New York City for the first time! The cafe is on the fourth floor of the Louis Vuitton store on 6 East 57th Street. This store is a temporary location while the 5th avenue flagship store undergoes a multi-million dollar renovation just across the street! (The store pictured below with me, which looks like the iconic LV trucks piled up high, is the 5th Ave location currently under construction!) While this location may be a temporary home for the legendary brand, it certainly doesn’t feel that way to guests. The current location features a chocolate shop, and of course, the Le Café Louis Vuitton.
I live about 3 hours south of NYC in Baltimore, MD; it’s the perfect drive for a day or weekend trip. This particular visit, I was in town picking up my new LV passport cover, and, of course, having it hot stamped with Lady Liberty, noting that I had visited the location. I have many travels planned this year, of course, and can’t wait to see how many more stamps I can collect! Now, let’s get back to Le Café Louis Vuitton!
A friend and I had reservations made for the previous weekend; however, NYC decided to have a blizzard that day instead! Having to push our plans out to the next weekend, we were unable to secure a second reservation at the cafe. The LV website states that they do accept walk-ups on a first-come, first-served basis, if possible. We arrived right at the cafe’s opening and were lucky enough to be seated almost immediately for lunch. (Reservations are available beginning 30 days out at midnight via the Resy app, and I do highly recommend securing one!)
The wait staff was very kind and knowledgeable about the menu, which I always appreciate, especially when I am dining somewhere for the first time. (& super important for us sensitive stomach girls!) My friend and I decided to order 3 menu items to share, which I love to do; it allows you to sample more things! Everything we had, we thoroughly enjoyed: Hot Vanilla Latte, Lobster Rolls 5th Avenue, Sliders ‘1898’, and Pommes Frites, which was a sharing size for sure! I would ask for the sliders to be cooked well-done next time, but that is truly the only note I have! I mean, who doesn’t love their food monogrammed?

Let me know if you try the Le Café Louis Vuitton & how you like it! Have any more NYC restaurant recommendations for me? Send them my way to karascupoftea@gmail.com!
